Hey iniquitous happy ur still up and about and at least have the site still alive lol. my buddy and i finally got our UT2004 setup back up and running lol. if at all possible, as silly as it sounds…would we be able to commision/request a Minecraft monster pack? lol.
i figure it PROBABLY? wouldn’t be too hard, as most of those monsters are pretty straight forward melee types. then again, i don’t know how that stuff goes generally.

Each monster takes a lot of time to make regardless of the model or AI complexities. They all need making, animating and coding which takes so much time.

Does too many monsters eventually crash the game? Eventually mine goes straight back to desktop after 15mins of game play.
Hi Damion. It shouldn’t crash your game like that, the framerate would slow down to a crawl before that happened. Did you check the UT2004.log file to see if it tells you what was causing the crash? You might be able to narrow down the problem to a specific monster, map, weapon, bot, mutator etc…

You can use the satoremonsterpack mutator for that or my invasionpro gametype.
Hey, im currently building a new Invasion Server, and have a question:
I choosed the Spongebob Monster, I changed it’s Size in UnrealEd, i made it 10x larger, but the Hitbox stays the same, how can i adjust the Hitbox Scan in UnrealEd?

Hi, you have to change the collision radius and collision height of the monsters to suit the drawscale.

Did that one ever happen? i wouldnt mind trying those out someday if its allowed public.
I know there are some Halo monsters but more would be cool. My suggestion would be monsters and/or weapons from the 2006 Prey, that would be awesome.
I think it would be pretty cool to add Quake 2 monsters, especially the bosses.
hi INI is it possible to make monsters the same as Xpawn? i.e. so that they have hits in the hands, legs and head like ordinary bots, and not a cylindrical colosion?
It would be fun to be able to shoot off their heads or arms and legs. Just tell me what needs to be done for this and I’ll try to do it.
I recently converted your quake 4 monsters to HD, worked on the textures from the original quake 4 and now they look like in origenal.

Yes it’s possible. I’ve made some zombies that behave exactly like that (you can blow off their hands, feet, legs, head, arms – each having their own hp). You have to overwrite the ProcessHitFX(), DoDamageFX() and TakeDamage() functions, amongst others. Email me for the code, I’ll get around to posting the monster pack on my site soon.
You can disable cylinder collision and create your own based on spheres attached to their bones etc.. but it doesn’t work too good to be honest. Better to use the cylinder and then calculate the closest bone to the hitlocation as in my zombies.
The HD quake monsters sound awesome! they are some of my all time favourite monsters.

You should make a mod with all of these great monster packs and a feature to randomly generate monsters each time we play invasion match. That would be a lot of fun.
Do you still make these sort of mods for UT2004, despite Epic having recently stopped supporting (and heinously delisting) all Unreal and Unreal Tournament games?
